How can I access account information after banking hours?

You can contact our 24-hour customer connection line at 716-625-7700 or 1-800-439-8230 toll-free.

Can I get a mortgage without perfect credit?

Yes. We take a number of factors into consideration, including your current income and willingness to pay, in addition to your credit history.

How much do I need for a down payment?

There is no required amount, but if your down payment is less than 20 percent, you may need to purchase private mortgage insurance.

What documents do I need for my mortgage application?

We need to verify your employment, income and assets, so you will usually need to submit:

    • Your Social Security number
    • Pay stubs for the past 2–3 months
    • Federal tax returns for the past 2–3 years, including W-2 forms
    • A complete list of current debt, including credit cards, car loans, and student loans
    • A signed contract of sale if you have chosen the home you want to buy

How do I know when I should refinance?

People typically refinance when mortgage interest rates have gone down or the market value for their home has grown substantially.

What are the closing costs for a refinanced mortgage?

They can vary based on a number of different factors, but generally speaking, they are significantly less than the fees surrounding an original mortgage.

Will my credit score be affected by applying for an auto loan?

Yes, as any loan application, we will make an inquiry with one of the three major credit reporting agencies. Each inquiry temporarily affects your credit score.

    What is Apple Pay™?

Apple Pay is a mobile payment solution that allows customers with an eligible Apple® digital device to pay for purchases at retailers with contactless terminals once an eligible First Niagara credit or debit card has been added to the Passbook® application. No more searching for the right credit card. Customers can simply (and securely) hold their eligible Apple device near the terminal to make a payment. All First Niagara consumer credit and debit cards are eligible. Current First Niagara customers with credit and debit cards are automatically eligible to use Apple Pay.
