• First Niagara In Your Community

We live here. We work here. We make a difference here

  • First Niagara is committed to the local communities where we live and work.  Our shared passion and unparalleled teamwork set us apart in making a difference in our communities.

To ensure that the unique needs of our communities are being met through charitable donations, decisions are made regionally. Each First Niagara regional committee meets regularly and carefully reviews each request.

Through two charitable giving opportunities, Regional Community Grants and Regional Community Sponsorships, First Niagara invests in the essential work advanced by exceptional nonprofit organizations throughout the Banks’ footprint. Our focus areas include: Youth and Education, Community Development and Neighborhood Revitalization, and Enhancing the Quality of Life in Our Communities.

Regional Community Grants support programs of nonprofit organizations, which include program support and special projects. To apply for a Regional Charitable Grant, the applicant organization must be a charitable, nonprofit organization as defined by section 501(c)3 of the IRS tax code.
